Hello everyone!

First of all, sorry for the delay! It's been a busy summer holiday for me - hope you have all had a fantastic summer too ! If you read the last blog entry about Bude then you may remember that I was going to tell you about a great place to stay. Alas, the wait is over! This entry is all about Cottage Barn, where I stayed with my family this year on our trip to Cornwall.

As a city girl, I've always loved the novelty of visiting rural areas and the seaside, but thought I could never see myself living there... until I stayed here! Cottage Barn is a sizeable and quirky cottage pretty much in the middle of nowhere, however, it is not a long drive to Bude town and the seafront. There is also a lovely pub on the corner of the road which I'd really recommend for everyone. This quiet and scenic location was the perfect relaxing getaway, not to mention totally kawaii! I felt like I was in my own little fairy house! Very cottagecore or even fairy kei vibes.

The cottage had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. My bedroom and bathroom were upstairs but were overlooking the downstairs balcony style. It looked so beautiful! I felt like Cinderella in the live-action Disney film. Outside was a grassy back garden and a patio section with an outdoor dining table and a bbq. The only neighbours we had were the sheep and cows in the field right next to us! They weren't noisy at all and were very friendly and happy with us being there. There was a gorgeously decorated conservatory - or "conservatory" as my mum and I called it that looked out to the field. It was the perfect breakfast area or afternoon reading spot.

So if you're ever aiming for Cornwall, and are in need of a short break, I would recommend booking up to stay at Cottage Barn and feel your fairy-realness.
