Hello everyone!

First of all, what an exciting first week it's been. Both the Kawaii Travels Instagram and Twitter are up and running, so please follow them @kawaiiblogtravels or click these buttons:

I'm working on setting up a Facebook account so keep your eyes peeled for that! The support I've received so far is small but I'm so grateful for everyone who has already followed and engaged with the accounts.

Now! On to the actual blog post all about the Italian Gardens! You may be thinking, "What makes this place kawaii?", and I would question, "What DOESN'T make this place kawaii?!". I think any place that is unique and beautiful visually, and has a refreshing or exciting atmosphere that makes you feel good is kawaii and I would definitely recommend checking this place out for those reasons.

It is a beautiful outdoor space in London created in the 1860's home to various stunning stone and marble fountains, statues, rosettes and urns, and decorated in colourful flowers. It is also in front of a lake, where I got very excited about some beautiful swans and their babies! The pond also attracts other wildlife - I saw quite a few different breeds of gorgeous birds and some pretty insects. While located in Kensington Gardens, it is also a short and pleasant walk away from Hyde Park, so it would be best to visit on a sunny day where you can also enjoy time in either parks. What's more of course, is that as it's a park it's totally free! Check out their website to find out more: https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/kensington-gardens/things-to-see-and-do/gardens-and-landscapes/italian-gardens

Italian Gardens would make a picturesque photography spot for any keen kawaii fans. I think it would mostly be appropriate to the likes of fairy-core, cottage-core, lolita, and Victorian style cosplay, as these natural and elegant looks would be deemed most fitting for the background of regal historical artwork. While you will find all sorts of people there, whenever I have gone I have always found the atmosphere very relaxing as everyone is enjoying the scenery with the soothing white noise of the fountains. Also, no need to feel embarrassed about taking photos (not that you ever should anyway!) because I'd say a good 25-50% will also be focused on having their own photoshoot for the Gram!

So if you want a peaceful day in London, soak up some nature and visit Italian Gardens. Whether you want to update those personal portraits, find a nice place to have a picnic with your friends, or just want to relax somewhere and read a book by yourself, this is definitely a perfect place to choose.

Let us know what you think in the comments and in the forum! Also please recommend any places any where else that you think I should count on the Kawaii Travels list!

Keep kawaii !
