Hello and welcome to Kawaii Travels!

My name is Fairie, and I am a keen kawaii enthusiast. Wherever I go, I mostly just want to find somewhere pretty and probably pink, as that is what fills me with the most joy. I understand that there are probably other members inside or outside of the kawaii culture community that feel the same, so I want to provide you with the most information on how to find these hidden gems of picturesque places!

Here I will be publishing reviews and expressing my thoughts through vlogs, which you can filter through based on location and what type of place it is e.g. a gift shop, park, or cafe. I want to hear your thoughts as well, so please comment below each post and have a discussion in the forum! Also please contact us or submit in the forum suggestions of where I should visit next and what we should write about. I am based in the UK so the majority of posts may be about the UK, however, I will try to post as much about what I can find abroad so am still up for global suggestions!

To me, what makes something kawaii means that it not only concerns the aesthetics of a location, but also the way it makes a person feel. We all know that the satisfaction from achieving that brilliant Instagram post is so great sometimes. Also, I think it is positive for your mental health to surround yourself in beautiful things and take in the aura of a new place. Some of them may be leaning more to Japanese themes, either traditional or pop culture, which are often of interest of kawaii people as this is where the fashion and culture originated from. Then, some places may be more fairy-kei or fairy-core like a beautiful park or garden. So browse through and see whatever takes your fancy, and get travelling kawaii style!
